What's it all about ? |
Breakthrough is about experiencing God’s power and His grace in our lives in overcoming challenges and in moving mountains. Jesus in Luke’s gospel calls it a mustard seed faith that can move mountain. Breakthrough is about having that mustard seed faith to believe that our God is a God of all possibilities. “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible”- Mat 19:26

Purpose of Breakthrough |

1 Raise faith of people in the congregation 2 Eliminate capital debt 3 Resource new ministry and mission causes  Breakthrough is a faith campaign because God is primarily interested in growing our faith. Our vision is to build God’s Kingdom and be transformed in the life changing adventure. We need breakthroughs. Imagine more people having personal faith breakthroughs. Imagine more miracles. The cumulative impact is enormous. When people start overcoming challenges and ‘move mountains’, corporate breakthrough will break out on many fronts. More than anything else, Breakthrough is about changed lives. Secondly, one of the best investments any organisation can make is the reduction of its debt. We have a current capital debt of $3,577,342. This has placed a burden on yearly ministry because of interest paid. Imagine a debt-free church. To this, I still remember our members who gave a faith pledge of four months of income to God’s cause in the year 2001. Thirdly, debt elimination would mean annual savings of $541,958. These savings would enable us to further enhance and expand ministry. Currently we have annual community projects such as school tuition, bursary award, Family Events, Joy Factory, Love in Any Language and others. Imagine how we can better serve our city as we establish ongoing community programmes and services that include befriending, counselling, family life education and youth-at-risk related programs. Imagine the positive impact on global mission points in South America and Africa when more resources are invested here.  |

The Opportunity |

We are now in our final lap of our journey.
We see countless lives and ministry being impacted and transformed over the last 14 months as people step out in faith and see God’s power at work. In October 2006, we are reaching another significant mark by repaying a further $1.5M. With this repayment we will be left with $1.8M in the final lap. Let’s get ready to touch down. Let’s join our hearts together and bring Breakthrough into reality.  |

The Challenge |

We have received many faith pledges for healing, ministry, business and personal areas. You can read some of the testimonies in our first newsletter. Financial pledges are now over $3.6M mark. The challenge is to fulfill our financial pledges. First, remember what you have pledged. Act on it. Believe something is going to happen when you give in faith.
If you have not made campaign commitments yet, now is a good time to get started. Pray a simple prayer. The prayer is: “Lord, what would You want to do through me?” If you pray this prayer, we encourage you to be willing to be obedient to God’s leading. The vision is focused on reaching people for Christ and nurturing them to reach someone else for Christ. We ask you to respond to revelation and not just reason. Allow this faith journey to be such that you can honestly say that you saw God do a work which no human could explain. Here’s a chance for you to: 1. Send in a pledge if you are new or did not have a chance to do so when the campaign was launched. 2. Change your pledge as you prayerfully seek God. 3. Request for us to send you a reminder if you have forgotten what you have pledged.  is coming. Dare to imagine.
