A person’s last words often cut through the clutter and reveal what is truly on his or her heart. For Moses, it was the convergence of his calling as the prophet of God, and his concern for the people of Israel. It was a bittersweet moment for Moses as he delivered the message of Deuteronomy to the people encamped at the plain of Moab just outside Canaan. While Israel inched towards the Promised Land, Moses approached the end of his ministry and of his life. His parting words would challenge the new generation (and us): Beyond all the activities and rituals, what is at the very heart of our faith? Through it all, what must we do, so that we would remember God and remain faithful to His covenant?

Beyond the practical things we can learn about worship, this course seeks to delve deeper into the topic of worship by examining the Word of God. As we uncover the biblical truths of worship, we approach God with the right heart attitude! This course will also take a brief peek into the constantly changing style of music in worship across time, in order to distil the essence of our worship to a constant and unchanging God.

Reaching out to people will mean that we must be ready to answer people’s questions about our faith. The Apostle Peter sets forth in his epistle that we need to always be ready to give an answer for the hope that we have. But having tried this, we know how difficult it can be. We may not always be clear in our beliefs. We also struggle to present this to others in a way that helps them understand our faith. Join us in this introductory apologetics to learn how we can make sense of our Christian faith in a world of scientific discoveries that appears to contrast religious belief. How then do we engage with friends who do not know Jesus?
