COVID-19 has disrupted our lives in many ways. Some experience loss of income or are struggling with additional expenses for essential items. Hope Fund is set up to meet some of these needs.

In the bible, the Apostle Paul implored the early church to put love into action, and one practical way to do so is to “share with the Lord’s people who are in need”. We cannot promise to meet every need – only God can fully do so – but we seek to help in what we can.

COVID-19 Hope Fund was started in May 2020 to financially support those whose lives have been disrupted by the pandemic. Hope Singapore has pledged a seed fund of $100,000 from the operating budget of 2020 to the Hope Fund.

COVID-19 Hope Fund is for Hope Singapore’s members/regular attendees. Hope Global is working on a separate care package for our daughter churches.

Please speak to your pastoral leader and indicate this to your interviewer during the application interview.

If there are excess funds after helping our members, the surplus will be donated to external organisations that we identified.

On top of extending help to our members, we want to help those outside of the church who are badly affected by COVID-19. We recognise that there are credible organisations who are already doing so, and are able to dispense the help effectively to those in need.
